Pick a height that suits your altar — a 4–6 inch murti sits beautifully on most home mandirs, while taller pieces anchor a dedicated pooja room.
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Keep away from water and harsh polish — the finish keeps its lustre for years with a light touch.
Bhai Dooj, called Bhau Beej in Maharashtra and Bhai Phota in Bengal, falls two days after Diwali and honours the bond between brothers and sisters. A sister applies a tilak to her brother and prays for his wellbeing, and he gives her a gift in return, so most of the giving here is a brother's gift to his sister.
The fitting choices are pieces of blessing and prosperity for her own home: a Lakshmi murti, a Lakshmi Ganesh pair, a piece of brass decor or an urli for her entrance. A hamper arrives ready. Some sisters gift a protective Hanuman or a dashboard idol for a brother's car in return.
It follows straight after Diwali, so order within the same window. For volume, the bulk order enquiry page.
