The buyback programme, in plain terms

On gold and silver plated pieces bought on or after 1 February 2025, we buy it back at 50% of the price of the piece. Below is the whole of it, including what we take off and what would stop us.

Pieces used in regular pooja are not covered. Tikka, milk, flame and household chemicals all react with the plating.

The process

How a buyback actually works

We look at your photos and approve the piece before you post anything, so a piece that will not qualify never costs you postage.

Write to us

You

Message us from the number or email you ordered with, with a few clear photos of the piece.

We take a look

Us

We check the photos and your order against the programme's conditions, and tell you where you stand.

Send it in

You

Once it is approved, pack it well and post it to us. Shipping is at your cost.

We pay you

Us

When it arrives we check it against your photos to confirm it is the same piece, then pay you within three to four working days by bank transfer, UPI, or as store credit if you would rather.

Nothing here is a decision. Tick what is true of your piece. A person looks at every claim, and we will tell you where you stand before you post anything.
The fine print

Every condition, in full

What is covered

  • Valid for pieces bought on or after 1 February 2025
  • Within three years of the date of purchase
  • The piece is in its original condition
  • No physical damage, dents or scratches
  • No exposure to chemicals or harsh cleaners
  • The protective coating is intact
  • No signs of wear or tarnishing
  • Not used in regular pooja, and never exposed to tikka, milk or flame
  • Proof of purchase, or the authenticity certificate that came with the piece

What keeps it eligible

  • Keep it away from water and moisture
  • Keep it out of direct sunlight
  • Clean it only with a dry, soft cloth
  • No chemical cleaners and nothing abrasive
  • Store it in the packaging it came in
  • Keep it away from other metal items
  • Handle it with clean, dry hands
  • Protect it from extreme temperatures

The 50% is worked out on the price of the piece itself. GST, packaging, shipping and making charges are not part of it, so in practice a buyback comes to about 40 to 42% of what the piece cost. We confirm the exact amount before you post anything, and pay by bank transfer, UPI, or as store credit if you would rather.

How it's made

What's actually in your hands

None of this is why we buy it back. We buy it back because we said we would. But it is worth knowing what the piece is, and what it needs from you.

The core

A cast resin core, which is why the piece is light in the hand and why the small details stay sharp.

The copper

Resin cannot be plated on its own, so a layer of copper goes on first. It is what the gold or silver keys onto, and what makes the surface even.

The coat

A protective finish sits over the plating, and keeping it intact is one of the programme's conditions. Water is the one thing that damages these pieces.

Common questions

Before you write to us

Half the price of the piece itself. GST, packaging, shipping and making charges are not part of that figure, so in practice a buyback comes to about 40 to 42% of what the piece cost. We confirm the exact amount before you post anything.

Three years from the date of purchase, on pieces bought on or after 1 February 2025.

The programme covers gold and silver plated pieces.

Yes, and this is the condition most pieces fall down on. Tikka, milk, flame and household chemicals all react with gold and silver plating, so a piece in regular pooja use is not covered. The programme is for pieces kept as decor or given as gifts.

Original condition: no physical damage, dents or scratches, the protective coating intact, no signs of wear or tarnishing, and no exposure to chemicals, tikka, milk or flame. A person looks at every piece rather than a checklist.

Shipping to us is at your cost. We approve the piece from your photos first, so a piece that will not qualify never costs you postage.

By bank transfer or UPI, or as store credit if you would rather have that. It reaches you within three to four working days of the piece passing our check.

Yes. We need the mobile number the order was placed with, the name of the person who placed it, and the authenticity certificate that came with the piece.

The photo approval tells you where you stand before you spend anything on postage. The check when it arrives confirms the piece is the one in the photos. It is an authenticity check, and it is there so the programme cannot be gamed.

Three to four working days after the final check at our end.
