Brass Om Engraved Pooja Thali Set (10 Inch)

Every aarti begins with a thali: the diya lit, the bell rung, kumkum and akshat set out in their katoris. This brass Om thali set gathers all of it around a 10 inch polished brass thali with a raised Om at its centre. The ghanti, the diya and the agarbatti holder each come on a base painted pink with flower work, bright against the plain brass.

What each piece is for

The diya carries the flame for the aarti, the ghanti is rung as the aarti begins, and the agarbatti holder keeps the incense upright beside the deity. The two katoris hold kumkum for the tilak and akshat, the unbroken rice offered at every puja, and the kalash holds the puja water, offered with the spoon. Set out together on the thali, they are ready for every morning puja and evening aarti.

For the daily puja, Diwali and a new couple

At 10 inches the thali holds the full set with room for flowers and prasad, a fine size for the home mandir and for the Lakshmi puja on Diwali night. It is a respected gift for a newly married couple's first mandir or for a griha pravesh. For a lighter thali with just a diya, see the 8 inch Om aarti thali.
