The Trishul represents the three points where the three main nadis or channels of energy of the human body, the Ida, Pingala and Shushmana, meet on the forehead. The Damru represents the universe which is always expanding and contracting. From an expansion it collapses and then it re-expands, this is the process of creation.

Nothing here is mass-moulded. A single karigar sculpts the marble-dust body, then sets every gold-plated ornament onto it one at a time — under a loupe, over hours. It is the slowest, most exacting craft we do.
