About the product

In most Indian homes the Diwali pooja is done before Lakshmi and Ganesha together, Bappa honoured first as Vighnaharta and Maa Lakshmi invited in for the year ahead. This brass four armed Lakshmi and Ganesha pair gives each a round carved pedestal of their own: Ganesha with a modak and his mushak, and Lakshmi seated with lotuses in her upper hands and her palm raised in blessing.

For the home mandir, shop or office mandir

Each idol is about 3.75 inches tall, a fine size for the centre of a home mandir and for the shop or office mandir, where the new bahi khata (account book) is opened before them on Diwali. Our guide on placing Ganesh and Laxmi murti explains which side each one sits.

Also sold on their own

The same Lakshmi is available as the four armed brass Lakshmi, and the same Ganesha as the sitting brass Ganesha. More pairs are in our Laxmi Ganesh murti range.

Cast in 55–60°C heat, by hand

Long before the city wakes, our karigars are already at the furnace — pouring molten brass in a room that climbs to 55–60°C, hour after hour, so a family they will never meet can place a god in their home. They choose the heat, because an idol made by human hands carries intention a machine never can.

What devotees say

✦ Good to know

Questions, answered

Solid, high-grade first-melt brass — never recycled scrap — sealed with a clear anti-tarnish lacquer and finished by hand. Every piece ships with a signed certificate of purity naming the karigar who made it.

Every brass piece comes with lifetime polishing. Whenever you want its original shine back, send it to us and we will polish it for you, however many years later.

Dust with a dry, soft cloth. For a deeper clean, use a little tamarind or lemon with warm water, then dry fully. Avoid harsh chemical polishes — the patina it develops over years is part of its beauty.

Smaller sizes suit a home mandir, a desk or a car; larger ones make a fuller centrepiece for a big mandir or a gift. The sizes this idol comes in are shown above the Add to cart button. Each is solid brass — you feel it the moment you lift it.

Dispatched in 3–4 days, fully insured, free across India, in a rigid keepsake box with cushioned cloth wrap. If it arrives damaged, we remake or replace it.
